Green Eating Initiative, in Support of Earth Day: Sharing the Beauty of Vegetarian Cuisine
Our Company responds to Earth Day by embracing vegetarianism, a call to protect our planet. We deeply understand the positive environmental impact of a vegetarian diet, hence our Company-wide initiative to go meatless. This is more than a personal choice; it’s a substantial contribution to sustainable development by MBI. On this particular day, our employees collectively abstain from meat, savoring the delights of vegetarian cuisine, and jointly shoulder the responsibility of environmental conservation. It’s a gesture of respect for nature and an act of care for future generations. Through this vegetarian initiative, we aim to raise environmental awareness, respond to Earth Day, and collectively protect our beautiful and precious home.
Supporting Orthopedic Doctors in Providing Free Clinics in Palau
In 2022, MBI collaborated with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Hsu in a far-reaching free clinic initiative in Palau. This event focused on the Company donating hyaluronic acid intra-articular injections to assist local patients who have degenerative arthritis. Dr. Hsu provided the proper knee treatment, ensuring that each patient received the most appropriate care. Dr. Hsu’s expertise and clinical experience added confidence and professionalism to the free clinic, guaranteeing that each patient enjoyed high-quality medical services. Through donating medical materials and free clinics, MBI hopes to bring a lasting health impact to the local community and demonstrate our active participation in global philanthropy.
Supporting Surgery for Children with Craniofacial Defects
In collaboration with Dr. Tien-En Chiang, MBI provides material support and fulfills our corporate social responsibility on a moral level. This partnership focuses on donating FormaAid collagen wound dressing, specifically used to assist children with craniofacial defects undergoing cleft lip and palate surgery. This endeavor aims to help these children rebuild their lives, symbolizing the Company’s commitment to providing high-quality treatment and expressing deep care for these vulnerable groups while contributing to society.
Huashan Social Welfare Foundation Conducts Charity Sale to Care for the Elderly
MBI donated 100 boxes of Good Joint 633 capsules for charity sale, and all proceeds went to the Huashan Social Welfare Foundation to provide services for the elderly in their homes, caring for them and practicing social welfare. In addition, TCI and the Company’s biotech employees responded to this public service project by setting up the Huashan Social Welfare Foundation’s «Loving Deed Box» in the office. They raised funds to care for 100 elderly people living alone through personal donations and invoices.
Children Awaiting Homes: Teaming Up to Donate Fruits
The MBI team fully participated in the «Safe Fruit and Vegetable Distribution Program,» a meaningful activity organized by the «Children Awaiting Homes Social Welfare Association. «This association commits to protecting the well-being of children in childcare facilities by integrating fresh fruit resources to provide these children with a better quality of life, which also reflects the Company’s commitment to improving consumers’ lives. MBI’s enthusiastic participation in this program, infusing each package sent with love for the children, profoundly embodying the Company’s core philosophy, «Delight consumers’ lives.»
Children Awaiting Homes: Jointly Creating a Caring Farmland, Full of Greenery
MBI once again joined hands with the «Children Awaiting Homes Social Welfare Association,» entering the Linkou farmland together, engaging in farm maintenance and planting, and nurturing various vegetables with great care. The bountiful harvest of these vegetables will become the warm food we collectively contribute to underprivileged groups supported by Children Awaiting Homes. This farmland maintenance activity and charity project was co-created by MBI and Children Awaiting Homes. Through diligent farming, we have planted vegetable seeds and nurtured a bountiful harvest of love. Such cooperation allows the Company to fulfill its social welfare responsibilities and transforms the farmland into an oasis of love and hope.
Eden Social Welfare Foundation Wrapped in Love, Sustainable Care
In 2023, MBI collaborated with the Eden Social Welfare Foundation. Employees and individuals with physical and mental disabilities jointly participated in a Mid-Autumn Festival gift box packaging event. All profits were donated to the Eden Foundation. Besides integrating care into the packaging of the Mid-Autumn gift boxes, the Company also provided a platform for people with disabilities to participate in, feel the love and support of the community, and realize the synergistic development of environmental, social, and corporate governance elements. MBI commits to social inclusion, offering opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in social activities, fulfilling our corporate social responsibility. Simultaneously, this is also our practical action in environmental protection, choosing eco-friendly materials for packaging to reduce environmental impact.
Education

Through education, people can develop knowledge, skills, and values that prepare them for the future. MBI firmly believes in the power of education and actively participates in various educational activities, including organizing educational events in rural areas to assist students and health education seminars for the elderly. These educational activities demonstrate the Company’s active involvement in educational issues, positively impacting society. By helping rural area students, MBI is committed to bridging the gap in educational opportunities, allowing every child to realize their potential. Simultaneously, the health education seminars for the elderly focus on senior health, providing professional knowledge and care. Dream Discovery Camp Enlightening the Youth to Blossom in the Future
During the several-day DREAM 2022 Dream Discovery Camp, MBI, in collaboration with the Yung-Chiang Foundation, hosted a multifaceted event at the «Daxin Youth and Elderly Co-Creation Innovation Base» in Jiadong Township. The event aimed to assist the youth of Pingtung County in getting an early understanding of the workplace environment through practical job experiences, thereby inspiring their dreams.
Nearly 40 participating teenagers delved into six major career explorations to gain an in-depth understanding of various professions. MBI particularly focused on introducing the medical technology field, allowing the youth to experience this challenging and opportunity-rich area firsthand. This helped the participants discover their interests and provided valuable information for diverse learning and future career planning.
We know the challenges students face in their educational environment in rural areas. Therefore, MBI commits to improving their learning conditions. This collaboration with the Yung-Chiang Foundation is not just a dream discovery camp; it represents the union of different strengths, hoping to sow more seeds for the growth of young people and paint a brighter future for them.
Xingya Village, Xinyi District, Taipei City – Health Care Seminar for the Elderly
In our commitment to community health, the Company collaborated with Xingya Village to organize a health seminar specifically designed for the elderly. Dr. Hsu, an orthopedic specialist, conducted the seminar and delved into the close relationship between osteoarthritis and hyaluronic acid supplements. The seminar aimed to enhance the elderly’s understanding of health and focused on the prevention and management of osteoarthritis. Dr. Hsu shared information about the hyaluronic acid supplement Good Joint 633, its role in alleviating joint discomfort, promoting joint flexibility, and its application in elderly care. MBI aims to help the elderly in the community better understand joint health and provide practical health advice, laying a solid foundation for a healthy and fulfilling senior life.
Hondao Senior Citizen’s Welfare Foundation Pingxi Area Health Education Seminar for the Elderly
The Hondao Senior Citizen’s Welfare Foundation presented a health education seminar specially designed for the elderly in the Pingxi area, aiming to enhance their health awareness. Dr. Hsu, an orthopedic surgeon, was invited to give an in-depth presentation on the health needs of senior citizens. The seminar included in-depth explanations of bone health, psychological care, and health tips for daily life. In addition to sharing the latest medical knowledge, the seminar provided practical healthcare advice to help the elderly community lead a healthier and more active life. MBI hopes to promote community health and provide a platform for silver-haired people in the Pingxi area to interact with medical professionals to lead a more fulfilling life in their twilight years.
School of Biomedical Engineering and Technology Collaborates with Academia to Cultivate Future Talents
MBI, in collaboration with the National Central University College of Health Sciences & Technology and the 104 Career Academy, organized a program to cultivate high-quality corporate talents. The Company’s General Manager, Cindy Chen, personally served as a lecturer, sharing practical experiences and deep corporate insights. The course focused on developing students’ practical skills required in the workplace, covering aspects such as business management, leadership, communication, and collaboration. Through the General Manager’s real-life examples, students can better understand the complexities and keys to success in business operations. This not only provided students of National Central University with a rare opportunity to interact closely with industry leaders but also reinforced our Company’s commitment to nurturing future talents.
